Automated client onboarding from support-ticket intake through Google Workspace provisioning, notifications, retries, and human escalation — saving an estimated 30 minutes per onboarding.
- Role
- Automation Engineer (contract)
- When
- Apr–Dec 2025
- Stack
- Google Workspace · Rewst · n8n · Retool · Make
The challenge
New-client onboarding required repeated manual setup and follow-up. Each onboarding took an estimated 30 minutes of manual work, and failures needed a clear path to a person.
My role
I owned the design, delivery, and maintenance of operational workflows end to end. Across this work I used Rewst, n8n, Retool, and Make.
The workflow
- A support ticket starts the onboarding workflow.
- The workflow provisions the new user’s Google Workspace account and notifies both support and the client.
- Failed steps retry automatically; unresolved failures escalate to a person.
Outcome
The automated flow saves an estimated 30 minutes per onboarding while keeping exceptions visible and recoverable by the support team.
